Introduction to College

                        Janjyoti Higher Secondary School established in 2028 B.S. , is the first and only one school in Sarlahi Distinct providing technical education. It is situated at Lalbandi in the south of East West Highway . Janjyoti Higher Secondary School started ANNEX program in 2059 B.S. and has successfully completed its 9th batch till date. Similarly, Diploma in Computer Engineering(Overseer) a 3 year program affiliated to CTEVT was started in 2066 B.S. with its new name “Janjyoti Technical School”. We proudly announce that it is the first community school which strives to empower its students with qualities necessary of them to face the challenges of today's society. In addition “Janjyoti Technical School” aims to open window of opportunities for students providing affordable technical education and creating successful individuals endowed with knowledge and wisdom to make positive and creative contribution to society. This institute is very much integrated to cope up with globalization of education in all aspects such as teachers, students, teaching materials and method as well as modern approach to education.

                                                                                                           “Janjyoti Technical School”, affiliated with CTEVT, Kathmandu, Nepal and recognized by Nepal Engineering Council, is a national institution for Engineering Education. The school aims to produce the most competent and knowledgeable sub engineer and computer technician for meeting the growing demands of technical manpower of the country in particular and of the “Global Village” in general. In addition, the college has also in its mission to develop “Janjyoti Technical School” as a national center of excellence for technical education and training and to provide quality education for academic excellence and social prosperity.

I) Diploma in Computer Engineering (Oveerseer)-3 Years:

                                                                                               The Curriculum Development and Monitoring Committee of “Janyoti Technical School” has drawn the detail program outline for the Diploma in Computer Engineering course in strict adherence to the curriculum of CTEVT and the requirements of Nepal Engineering Association. The Diploma in computer program runs over a total period of three. Integrated teaching, problem-based and community oriented and community based learning are the key features of the core curriculum for the Diploma in Computer Engineering program.

II) Junior Computer Technician (JCT):

                                                            The “Jan Jyoti Technical School” offers Junior Computer Technician(JCT) Course in the field of Information Communication Technology(ICT) in order to work in the filed of IT in Nepal. The course outline for the JCT programs in IT is strictly based on the curriculum of CTEVT. Our JCT course have wide recognition and acceptance which are highly valued for employment in Information Communication Technology institutions across the globe.

● Computer Lab:

                            The physical infrastructure of the computer lab with 35 computers of “Janjyoti Technical School” has been designed and built to suite the national standards with all the essential and desirable facilities. The lab is fully furnished with lots of modern computer & software’s and all computers are interconnected to each other within a network. There is a lab instructor who gives a proper guidline to the student. The computer lab at “Janyoti Technical School” incorporates industry standard IT facilities. The center has a good numbers of latest series computers connected with high speed networks to provide e-mail and internet facilities.  

● Library:

                  The Library is housed in a separate huge and beautiful multi storied building located at the south of the Janjyoti campus. It has been acknowledged as one of the best libraries. The library can accommodate about 50 readers at a time. Separate reading space has been provided to the faculty members, students/interns. Seating comfortableness, ventilation and lighting have been well taken care of. There is adequate provision for drinking water and toilet facility in each floor. The library has a very rich collection of more than 1 thousand volumes of Text/Reference books (of many titles in each subject). The library offers internet/e-mail and photocopy services to its readers. There is the Audiovisual sections for self learning by students through the use of videos, slides and CD-ROMs. The members can borrow books under home issue system as per the rules of the library. Strict adherence to code of conduct inside the library is a must for all categories of readers. The library maintains good stocks of text books and reference covering science and technology, health education and journals. The library provides an excellent study atmosphere for students, teachers and other. “Janyoti Technical School” library has subscribed various newspaper, magazines and journals. The library is fitted with space for individuals reading and group study.

●Lecture Theater Complex:

                                              Altogether there are three lecture theatres organized in two blocks (each having four theatres). Each of these well ventilated lecture theatres is vary spacious and equipped with all modern audio-visual equipments. The capacity of the individual theatres varies between 30 to 50 seats.

● Laboratory:

                        The Laboratory at “Janyoti Technical School” incorporates industry standard experimental facilities for Physics, Chemistry, Computers (general & advanced), electronics, electrical, office equipments and Drawing hall.
